Our sustainability goals
Creativity, passion, goal-oriented action: This has been our driving force since 1946. The challenges at that time were different, but the philosophy remained the same: An open relationship, between us and our business partners all over the world, but also inside our company, at all levels, with every single individual. This is how we create trust, use synergies and achieve what we set out to do.
Sustainable action for the good of the environment and social interaction has always been one of our most important concerns. We want to keep getting better in this too. Sustainability - this does not only concern the climate, the quality of the air, the CO2 balance, the protection of the water, the containment of waste and the economical use of energy.
In a figurative sense, the way in which people interact with one another, respect one another despite individual differences, learn from one another and live in integration and inclusion is also sustainable. Every single company, every single person is equally challenged and in demand here. We have the highest demands. On our products, on our production, on all of us. We go the distance for sustainability and for a good climate. This is on our agenda and is our incentive.
We live sustainability as a holistic model
Embedding sustainability throughout a group of companies is both a major challenge and an opportunity for future-oriented development. This ongoing process requires an open dialogue with management, employees, suppliers, partners and stakeholders.
Sustainable action and social commitment pay off in many ways - for a stable social, ecological and economic structure that we want to leave behind for future generations. We are committed to a healthy climate, both ecologically and interpersonally. Let's build, equip and furnish sustainably together. We look forward to having you as a partner.
PARTICIPATION IN NETWORKS
The JAB ANSTOETZ Group supports the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris climate targets (reducing global warming to well below 2 C compared to pre-industrial times). For this reason, and also to increase our own know-how in the field of sustainability and climate friendliness, we have joined the following networks:
UN Global Compact Network
Based on 10 universal principles and the Sustainable Development Goals, it pursues the vision of an inclusive and sustainable global economy for the benefit of all people, communities and markets, today and in the future. Since 2021, the Group has been committed to the UN Global Compact corporate responsibility initiative and its principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
For years now, our participation in the United Nations Global Compact has been a testament to our long-term commitment to greater sustainability.
We now also provide ongoing support to our work in corporate responsibility, based on the Ten Principles and Sustainable Development Goals, within the German network of the UN Global Compact.
Alliance for Development and Climate
Initiated by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development in fall 2018. Over 700 members from large and small businesses, SMEs, associations, government agencies, universities, project developers, offset providers and civil society. Definition and Goals: All members are committed to the goal of reducing or avoiding CO2 emissions as much as possible. Unavoidable emissions are to be offset by certified climate protection projects.
Climate neutral together
Under the regional climate initiative of the Lippe and East Westphalia Chambers of Industry and Commerce, companies from all over OWL are gathering to set an example of climate commitment. The aim for all participating companies is to save as much fossil energy as possible while relying on renewable energies. By the end of 2030, compensation measures should play no or only a minor role.
We give what it takes for a good climate -
An interview with the management
Aligning an entire group of companies to sustainability - this is a major challenge. It is an ongoing, continuously supplementary process. But above all, we see the opportunities that are offered to us by this future-oriented development.
